Course Objectives
Provide adequate training to easily solve chartwork exercises by learning fundamental navigation concepts and relevant formulas.
Course Program and Duration
The course lasts 8 hours and includes theoretical lessons covering the following topics:
- Glossary;
- Converting between degrees-minutes-seconds and decimal degrees;
- Distance, speed, and time calculations
- Correction formulas
- Conversion formulas
- Bearings and relative bearings
- Leeway and drift
